Sorry I got a little busy with cookies and I forgot to post the individual pics of the “Here Comes Santa Claus” collection.
Not a great photo, but there are a lot of different cookies in this collection. I love the big sparkling sugar on the red stripe of the present. And the tree, it’s a new thing that I worked out in my head right before I iced these, and I think they look smashing.
I also had a Thanksgiving order for a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. (I’m not sure what the scissors are doing there)

Guess who made the cake???
Dave!! And he made the chocolate buttercream. He’s The Man.
Now all I have to do is teach him to fill and frost the cakes, then I can put my feet up with a martini and direct.
I made some marzipan decorations for the top of the cake. And I think I’m going to try marzipan for my cupcake toppers as well.
I went with a simple leaf border and pretty golden pumpkins, acorns and leaves for the decoration.
A maple pecan tart for Thanksgiving. I also made a delicious Pumpkin cream tart and home made Frozen Maple Custard. The custard was so good, I made it a second time already.
You see, I finally got a small electric cook top for the shop, so I can make my marshmallows, seven minute frosting and Swiss meringue buttercream.
Dave helped out during pre Thanksgiving prep by pureeing the pumpkin for the pumpkin cream tart.
And finally, I made these paper trees to use for decoration in the shop. They’re a Martha Stewart kit from Michael’s. I had seen them in her magazine a while ago and even bookmarked the project on her website, so when I saw the kit that contained all the round papers with score marks, I couldn’t pass it up.
I love them so much, I might even have to go get another set for the house.

I love pecan pie and I make the best filling I’ve ever tasted (haven’t tasted yours yet - but I bet I would love it - love maple)…but even with wrapping reynolds wrap around the edge - my crust gets too dark - how do you do it?

mmmm…..Harpoon beer. Yes, that is what I gathered from this post. Haha! After touring the brewery in October, we came back to FL to find only one variety of Harpoon….and not the one I liked. The cookies are great and I love the Christmas trees. I was just looking through last December’s copy of Martha Stewart and she has the instructions to make them. I thought about making them this year….because I am being extra crafty lately.
