What do Dogs Want for Christmas (or Hanukkah, or Festivus)?

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Yes, today is Thanksgiving. So Happy Thanksgiving.

On to the more important stuff, your Holiday gift list. Everyone on your list should be getting cookies, whether you make them yourself, (boooo) or you order some super cute cookies from me, You can be sure that the recipients will be happy. And stay tuned, check the blog and the website every day because we’ll be adding new cookies just about every day in the next two weeks.

Penguin cookies

I know, I know you’ve seen the penguins already. I’m telling you my “Here Comes Santa” collection is going to knock your socks off (so goofy), or maybe it’s so cute it will make your head explode. Wait and see, I know what I’m talking about.

fox collection

Seriously, look at these custom cookies I made for Jen! They’re for her eye doctor. Doctor Fox. BTW, if you haven’t already, get over there and sign up for the Winter Gastronomy Swap!

fox cookie

How cute right? I do have to say, whenever I do “google image searches” for animal cookies, I wind up practically in tears. You just don’t want to know the kind of gore you find when searching for “fox faces”. I’m still having bad dreams. Foxes are just so darn cute.

Ok, so this leads right back to your Holiday gift list (it doesn’t, but I need to get back there). I know lots of you have dogs and what do you think is on the top of your dogs list?? I have to say Lily has TWO things on her list:

blue collar dog treats

Hand made dog treats from Blue Collar Dog Treats. If you go over to her blog now, you can enter to win a box of treats for free. (but, really they’re only like 7.99 so you could just spring for a few boxes) Bev is offering a new prize every couple of days from now until Christmas, if you sign up to “follow” her blog, you get two entries. And if you also sign up to follow Blue Collar Dog treats on Facebook you’ll get a THIRD entry!

chuck it

The second most coveted item on Lily’s list is lots of extra balls for her Chuck It ball launcher.  (which you can get at any pet store).  I swear she worships that thing. From the day we got it, she sits and stares at it lovingly ALL DAY LONG.

So that’s what you should get your dog for the Holidays.

I’m off the find the perfect Festivus Pole so we can get on with the “airing of grievances”.

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Dr Fox Collection is an absolute hoot! The foxes are so detailed. Amazing. Jen should be getting freebie eye checkups forever.

Santa tells me Lily is definitely NOT on the Naughty List so I’m sure she’ll be getting some Blue Collar goodies in her stocking. Have a great Turkey Day!

  2. Bea Says:

I loooove those foxes!! I remembered Disney’s Fox & the Hound movie… my children loved it!!

  3. Jen Says:

Who wouldn’ve love those????? And I ordered them because of the freebies I’ve already gotten. Dr. Fox is amazing. I’m hoping that YOU get the kick-backs from these cookies, Laura. Everyone in his office will appreciate the quality of these cookies. I hope you included lots of business cards!!
